Lead foil tape is acid resistant, ideal in the surface finishing industry for electroplating, anodizing and chemical milling masking applications. Plastic plating tapes often result in build-up at the stop-off line of the tape resulting in additional grinding; the lead foil backing can be burnished to fully cover the adhesive and allow full contact for uniform plating, the electrically conductive ?thieving? action of lead foil tape eliminates metal plating edge build-up at the stop-off line creating an overall smooth surface.
